Obituary of Helen Magalas

MAGALAS, Helen; Passed away peacefully at Norview Lodge on Thursday February 26, 2015 of Waterford in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Magalas. Loving mother of John, Steve, Martin (and Cheryl), Nadine (and Bruce) Howard, Eugene (and Laura) and the late Greg Magalas. Cherished Baba of Nicholas, Craig, Cody, Clark, Ashley; Laura, Jennifer; Marlah, Chase; Jessica, Adam (and Sarah); Travis, Brooke, and Garrett. Sister-in-law of Marie Chary. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister’s Theresa Stayshyn, Anne Mizibrocky, Lena Chary, Mary Holotiuk, and brother Stephen Chary. Helen was a farmer and an avid gardener and quilter. Her passion was family, who will greatly miss her. Always a kind gesture and a warm smile. Friends may call at the THOMPSON-MOTT FUNERAL HOME, Waterford Monday March 2, 2015 3-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 11am. Fr. Alan Dufraimont and Fr. Morris Bosey officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Waterford Camp Trillium Rainbow Lake or Alzheimer Society.
